Farmers from the Herefordshire & South Shropshire Pilot Group took part in fuel-efficiency training day at 7Y Services in Leominster on 8th March. Representatives of the Industrial Institute of Agricultural Engineering in Poznan arranged several meetings with members of the Polish Pilot Groups. We analysed farmers’ performance and encouraged them to further activity towards fuel savings.
In tests run by Efficient 20 farmer, John Lewis, fuel consumption was cut by 5% through correct tyre inflation and a staggering 30% reduction in fuel was seen through selecting a larger tyre size.
